There must be something to the name “Cloudland”
I snapped this photo from the yard.
Vulcan — the Roman God of Forge.
This is a Birmingham icon. The statue is the world’s largest cast iron and sits atop Red Mountain in Birmingham, AL. Designed by Italian artist Giuseppe Moretti, it was cast for the 1904 World’s Fair held in St. Louis, MO. I snapped this photo last summer when Leslie’s brother was visiting from Traverse City, Michigan.

One of my favorite photos
My Monsters
Max and Jake are my dogs.
Max is almost 9 years old and I have had him since he was about 6 weeks old. He is spoiled rotten and I have to take all credit. He is also one of my most favorite subjects to photograph.
Jake is about 5 years old. He came to us as a rescue so we are unsure. He also had some of the worse manners. He will knock over a trash bin in split second. He is also stealth to be almost 100 lbs. He can swipe a loaf of bread of the counter and be gone before you can blink.
The computer has a bug.
Sunset January 4, 2013
The journey begins with a sunrise
The sun is setting on the horizon
The Stone Cottage in Cloudland on Lookout Mountain has good southern exposure, so we have beautiful sunsets as well as sunrises.
