This is a Birmingham icon. The statue is the world’s largest cast iron and sits atop Red Mountain in Birmingham, AL. Designed by Italian artist Giuseppe Moretti, it was cast for the 1904 World’s Fair held in St. Louis, MO. I snapped this photo last summer when Leslie’s brother was visiting from Traverse City, Michigan.

This candid photo is of Leslie and our nephew, Zachary. It was taken while on vacation last May.
My Monsters
Max and Jake are my dogs.
Max is almost 9 years old and I have had him since he was about 6 weeks old. He is spoiled rotten and I have to take all credit. He is also one of my most favorite subjects to photograph.
Jake is about 5 years old. He came to us as a rescue so we are unsure. He also had some of the worse manners. He will knock over a trash bin in split second. He is also stealth to be almost 100 lbs. He can swipe a loaf of bread of the counter and be gone before you can blink.
The computer has a bug.
While trying to get WordPress to do what I wanted it to do, I was reminded of this picture taken last summer. I am not computer illiterate but I don’t have patience when it comes to these matters. Will keep at it, until I get the desired effects.
